The Black Speculative Arts Movement (BSAM) consolidated its role as the world leader in creating the next generation of Afrofuturist art, literature, film, and public policy with its festival and conference in Dakar, Senegal, from September 10-17, 2025. Founder Reynaldo Anderson (Professor of Africology, Temple University, Philadelphia, USA) set the agenda with his new book, Afrofuturism and World Order. Visionary scholar Walter Greason (DeWitt Wallace Professor of History, Macalester College, Minnesota, USA) used the success of the Graphic History Company to showcase a range of economic development and professional development strategies to protect democracy and human rights in the twenty-first century.
The specific presentations are available online through YouTube and will be archived at Michigan State University (USA) over the next year.
